MapleStory has it's version of Black Friday

For those that do not know, Black Friday is one of the most feared days in the world if you work retail. It's the day after Thanksgiving and every store seems to have insane sales at insane hours. This year you can avoid the crowds but still have a chance to get discounts at MapleStory online. Maple Story's Black Friday sale will last from Friday, November 23rd to Sunday, November 25th. maple story mesos

“Predominantly targeted towards working professionals, teens and tweens have been largely excluded from the shopping craze, save from being dragged to the mall. Holding a Black Friday sale in MapleStory gives both younger and older Nexon fans an opportunity to join in on the fun of shopping and huge sales”, said Min Kim, director of operations at Nexon America. maple story mesos

During the Black Friday sale there will be special sale hours that will provide some popular item for one hour during hte sale hours. So it looks like if you love MapleStory you'll be watching the sales to see if you can grab something rare. My bet is that Black Friday is more fun in the MapleStory world. maple story mesos

Gamasutra gets the scoop on MapleStory for the DS

Gamasutra sat down with Nexon's Stephen Lee to discuss Maple Story. What he found out is that Nexon is working on a version for the DS and the Xbox 360. maple story powerleveling

The DS version though won't be the MMO that we are used it. It will be an action role-playing game.

Nexon is doing MapleStory DS. How far into development is that, if you know? maple story powerleveling

SL: We're planning to launch it by the middle of this year. We're aggressively developing it, and we're in very good shape.

I've seen videos of it. I talked to Calvin Yoo at the Austin Game Developer's Conference, and he was very surprised to learn that there were already videos of it out on the Internet. Will it actually be an MMO-type thing? maple story powerleveling

SL: You mean MapleStory DS? It's not an MMORPG kind of game. It's a typical kind of action role-playing game. It will have fairly different gameplay compared to the original version. It will be specifically adapted to the platform itself.

But not to leave the 360 out...

So there's a Xbox 360 version also of MapleStory?

SL: Yeah, that's been announced here. That doesn't necessarily mean we're converting our business direction to the console gaming field. Since we have a lot of content that's been successful in the online gaming market, we're trying to figure out what possibilities we may have in other fields, such as console games, animation, merchandising, and all those related types of products. As a result of that, if it can actually help us expand our users in Western markets, then that would be a perfect result.

I just asked Nexon PR yesterday about the DS version, but it's great that someone got some facts on i...

Maple Story - A Quick Guide To Mesos For Newbies

Making Mesos can be hard, especially at low levels, and its never fun to site and grind all day without making any progress. There is good news however, you can make quite a lot of Mesos relatively easily if you know what you are doing. There are 3 main techniques to making Mesos, Grinding, Questing and Saving them once you make them. I will explain these 3 techniques in a bit more detail:

1. Grinding is the simplest way to make Mesos but it can be annoying if you do not know how to do it properly. The key is to grind only monsters that are within two levels of yourself and to make sure you spend your points properly. Put your points into HP or mana if applicable in order to reduce downtime and make your grinding more effective. Try to find enemies that you can kill in just a couple of hits for the maximum time to Mesos ratio. Fighting monsters that are too high in level will increase the damage you take and thus create more downtime and make you use your healing items which cost the Mesos you are trying to gain. cheap maple story powerleveling

2. Questing is a great way to make Mesos and give you a break when grinding gets boring. Not all quests are created equal however, some of them give much better ratios of Mesos to time spend. Some of the ones with good ratios are:

I'm Bored

Pia and the Blue Mushroom

Shumi's Lost CoinCamila's Gem cheap maple story powerleveling

Teo's reminiscence

Nella and Kerning City Citizens Request 1 and 2

Sabitrama and the Diet Medicine

The Reason Behind the Mushroom Studies

Mystery of Niora Hospital

Jane and the Wild Boar

Shumi's Lost Bundle of Money

Nemi's Dilemma

Toy Soldier's Walnut

Fixing Blackbull's house

Some of these give your items which can help save Mesos and some items can be sold to make a good amount. cheap maple story powerleveling

3. Saving Mesos is not a way to make them per say but a Meso saved is a Meso Earned!. Use your points effectively in order to save items that would be used for healing. Also resist the temptation to buy the best equipment at all times. Other cheaper equipment is often almost as good as more expensive equipment and it will save you a lot of Mesos in the long run. Until you have build up a good amount, do not buy anything that is not absolutely necessary. Once you have a solid savings you can splurge a bit.

Hopefully this guide will help you make Mesos and avoid some of the frustration that comes with not being able to buy the items that you want. If you just remember these simple tips you will find yourself with a lot more Mesos and a much better Maple Story experience.

MapleStory Warrior Guide

Create a character

So now you have started an account of MapleStory and want to make a Warrior.

  • At the create a character screen, pick a name that you want your character to be named.
  • Next roll the dice so your stats look something like this:

    STR: X

    DEX: X

    INT: 4 or 5

    LUK: 4 or 5
  • You may have to roll for a while before you get what you want. X can be anything.
  • Now you can change the look of your character and what weapon you want. Every time you level you will get 5 Ability Points. DEX should always be at least twice your level. Everything else goes into STR. buy maple story powerleveling

Maple Island

Now you are on Maple Island. This is where everyone starts.

  • Go do the quests at the very beginning. Try to go to level 4 before starting on snails. By then your STR should be pretty high.
  • You will have beginner skills. You can look at them if you press K. The three skills are Nimble Feet, Three Snails and HP Recovery.
  • Every time you level you will receive one Skill Point (SP).
  • You should put the points in whatever you feel like. Here is a build if you are not sure: buy maple story powerleveling

    Hp Recovery: 3 (Maxed)

    Nimble Feet: 3 (Maxed)

    Three Snails: 0

    The reason for this is that you will be able to do a lot of damage and do not need Three Snails. So just put it into the other stuff.

Victoria Island

When you are level 10 and ready to go on, get on the ship to Victoria Island. The cost is something like 150 mesos.

  • You will come in at Lith Harbor.
    buy maple story powerleveling
  • In Lith Harbor talk to Olaf. Once you are done go to Perion
  • Now to become a warrior...you can either take the cab to Perion (fastest) or you can walk there.
  • Once in Perion go to the top of the map and go inside the building Shrine of Warriors. Talk with Dances With Balrog. Your HP and MP will increase and you will get 1 Skill Point (SP). To use it, press K and you skills should come up. Put it into Power Strike.
  • Now bring up the keyboard. Click on the skill Power Strike and move it to a key that is comfortable to your reach.

SP BUILDS

  • This is for the typical Warrior
  • 10: 1 Power Strike
  • 11: 3 Improving HP Recovery
  • 12: 2 Improving HP Recovery, 1 Max HP Increase
  • 13: 3 Max HP Increase
  • 14: 3 Max HP Increase
  • 15: 3 Max HP Increase
  • 16: 3 Power Strike
  • 17: 3 Power Strike
  • 18: 3 Power Strike
  • 19: 3 Slash Blast
  • 20: 3 Slash Blast
  • 21: 3 Slash Blast
  • 22: 1 Slash Blast, 2 Save
  • 23: 3 Save
  • 24: 3 Save
  • 25: 10 Power Strike, 1 Save
  • 26: 3 Save
  • 27: 3 Save
  • 28: 10 Slash Blast
  • 29: 3 Endure
  • 30: 3 Endure

Future Fighters should put the last 3 into Iron Body. This is the approximate to cancel the effect of Fury. You should max HP Increase as soon as possible to get the maximum HP amount. If you want to mob monsters you can switch Power Strike and Slash Blast so you max the latter first.

BUILD 2

This build is for those that want more Iron Body. It is not recommended because you don't max the vital skills Power Strike and Slash Blast.

  • 10: 1 Power Strike
  • 11: 3 Improving HP Recovery
  • 12: 2 Improving HP Recovery, 1 Max HP Increase
  • 13: 3 Max HP Increase
  • 14: 3 Max HP Increase
  • 15: 3 Max HP Increase
  • 16: 3 Endure
  • 17: 3 Power Strike
  • 18: 3 Power Strike
  • 19: 3 Power Strike
  • 20: 1 Power Strike, 2 Slash Blast
  • 21: 3 Slash Blast
  • 22: 3 Slash Blast
  • 23: 2 Slash Blast, 1 Iron Body
  • 24: 3 Iron Body
  • 25: 3 Iron Body
  • 26: 3 Iron Body
  • 27: 3 Iron Body
  • 28: 3 Iron Body
  • 29: 3 Iron Body
  • 30: 2 Iron Body, 1 anything you want

Training

Here are some places to train. If you feel you are stronger or weaker than the suggested monster, then move up or down.

  • Level 10-15: Slimes, Orange Mushrooms, Stumps.
  • Level 16-20: Slimes are still good, you can start on Pigs, Orange Mushrooms, Dark Stumps.
  • Level 21-25: You could PQ but no one will want you yet. Pigs, Ribbon Pigs, Axe Stumps, Dark Stumps, Green Mushrooms, Octopus.

  • Level 26-30: PQ is a very good option, Axe Stumps, Dark Axe Stumps, Horny Mushrooms, Green Mushrooms, Octopus, Boars.

The Job Advancement

Now that you are level 30 you get to move on to the second job. Warriors can choose from Page, Fighter or Spearman. Pages use Swords or Blunt weapons. Fighters use Swords or Axes. Spearmen use Spears or Pole arms.

Spearmen do tons of damage and have high HP. Fighters do more stable damage than Spearmen and have more MP. Pages are the most stable and use more magic abilities in the third job.

With all this in mind, choose wisely.

Maplestory Review

Positives

The grind factor of MS (maple story) is often looked down upon as at high levels of say 150 plus it could take you a week of 24/7 for one single level up, and the fact that even at low levels one training location could serve you 10 or more levels (example. Ice/Lightning Mage, leveling at crab map.) However the quick paced, fast killing, and short time between each mob, gives the game a very active and absorbing feel to it. With this type of game play there is no time for AFKing =P. buy maple story mesos

Each class is so different to each other and the game maps are so huge and spaced out it really is an adventure travelling around. High-level skills after 3rd job are visually breathtaking and so well hardcore (some taking up even half the screen!) That it really does add the excitement to grind. buy maple story mesos

Negatives

There is little to do in this game but grind, as bosses are limited and instances are scarce and mainly at low level, such as party quest lvl 20-30, lvl 35-50 buy maple story mesos

Leveling taking so long is often viewed as a negative amongst modern day MMO players, and the main negative in MS in most players opinions is the hacking. The hacking in MS is more common than any other MMO I have played and it ruins the experience to some extent. Other then them it is a fun game and I suggest you don't just pass up the game due to the 2D graphics but instead give it a go.

Three Best Jobs on Maplestory

Chief Bandit

The Chief Bandit is probably the best job advancement there is. They have excellent attacking power, speed, and accuracy which makes them a formidable class. The Chief Bandit's skill Meso Explosion allows the player to explode nearby mesos and deal damage to monsters. Since most players don't even pick up the scrap pieces of mesos it's a great skill to have. The skill Assaulter is a Chief Bandit's main attacking skill. It has a damage of 520% of your normal attack and allows to to teleport through monsters while you hit so that you can come around and strike it again. The thief class also has the Haste skill which allows the character move faster and jump higher depending on the skill level that is excellent for the Chief Bandit.safe maple story powerleveling

Dragon Knight

Dragon Knight's are a warrior class and have massive power. The main attacking skill is power strike which hits 260% your normal damage until you level spear crusher quite a bit. Warriors also have a skill that allows them to hit multiple targets in front of them at once which is similar to a skill that Dragon Knight's get that allows the character to hit front, back, above, and below to a certain distance. Although slow, Dragon Knight's, like all warriors, have a high HP so that they can last a long time without dying. safe maple story powerleveling

Ranger

Rangers are a ranged class that uses arrows to hit enemies but as soon as they have mastered Soul Arrow they are able to hit without depleting arrows. Buying arrows everytime you run out and then go hunting again is a hassle and that makes Soul Arrow a crucial skill for a Ranger. Ranger's also have a variety of skills to hit mobs, single strong monster or both. The skill Arrow Rain hits up to 6 monsters at once each hit with 160% of your normal damage while Strafe fires 4 arrows each up to 100% normal damage at a single target.Silver Hawk, while requiring a summoning rock summons a silver hawk that will follow you and attack enemies for up 180 seconds and 70 hit with 99% of stunning the enemy which means leaving them unable to attack or move for a while.

MapleStory Archer Starter Guide

In order to get a good starting archer, you need to roll 4 intelligence and 4 luck. Strength and Dexterity can be anything, if you are lazy, put never let intelligence be any higher then 4, it is a waste to fighters.

Many Questions asked by noobs (not that you are one):

Q. Why is strength and dexterity so important while intelligence and luck isn't? maplestory powerleveling

A 3 simple things:

Dexterity: Power of attacks and higher level equipment

Strength: Different weapons

Luck: although it gives you a higher chance for a drop, you will kill so much that you would have a higher chance.

Q What does AP stand for? maplestory powerleveling

A AP stands for "ability point". Ability points are points that you put on certain stats, which include STR, DEX, INT, LUK, HP, and MP. You get 5 ability points every time you level up

Q What is SP? maplestory powerleveling

A SP stands for "skill points". Skill points are points that you put on certain skills to activate or upgrade them. As a thief, you receive your first skill point at level 10 when you become a warrior and every level after 10 you receive 3 skill points.

Things needed to become a archer:

Level: 10

Strength: 25

FOR HUNTERS: STR = LVL + 5

FOR CROSSBOWERS: STR = LVL

Maple Story Game Review

Maple story is a strange game. Its o.k in its gameplay and interface but never really appealed to me. It's not hard to start off with, has a good tutorial island place but the whole game is 2D with a near 3D background which was strange.

Game play

The game play was alright and there's lots of variety in the items. The classes are unique with some i haven't seen on any other game before. Its an easy interface to master, but at the start is easy to miss some skills and items in the tutorial that cant be acquired later on that are vital to survival in some aspects, and the importance isn't stated by NPC's on the island.

It gets difficult to level up later on with some quests that are totally pointless. The game does offer totally ability to be unique with many different armors and clothes available. It is playable but it isn't quite my type of game. maple story powerleveling

Pro's

  • It is totally free
  • Great community
  • Extensive selection of equipment
  • Easy play and interface
  • Fun to dress characters
  • Only things that aren't necessary for gameplay are in the cash shop maple story powerleveling

Con's

  • Lag's
  • Bad Graphics
  • Very boring at times
  • All the characters are made to look happy and always smiling even the monsters while they are getting killed. This was in a way negative to me and made me depressed in a way.
  • Quest can be a bit tedious and hard with a pointless outcome
  • Hackers
  • Some things are still written in Korean / Chinese ( ??? )

Overall i'd say this wasn't one of my best gaming experiences and i was disappointed of it very quick, if you enjoy playing it I think thats great and you should keep on it. But all in all I've played better. maple story powerleveling

Maplestory Money-Making

Party Questing

Party Questing is a great way to earn money. The prizes such as scrolls can easily sell for thousands even millions at Ludibrium pq. The waste of pots will be covered by the rewards of Party Questing. cheap maple story powerleveling

Quests

Doing quests plays a major part on earning money in Maplestory. Jane and the Wild Boar can give you a scroll worth a million and Subani's Legacy Discovery will make you rich with its glove attack scroll worth easily two million. cheap maple story powerleveling

Scrolling

Scrolling is like gambling; risk it all for millions of coins. You should scroll with a 10% first. If it works, scroll the rest of the slots with 60%'s. If it doesn't work, sell the item and get another one. This makes the scrolled item the best stats without taking that much chances. The best things to scroll are white work gloves with attack scrolls and your class's weapon; if its pretty well scrolled, it can sell for millions(9 attack -11 attack work glove and a +10 attack - 17 attack weapon) cheap maple story powerleveling

Merchant

Being a merchant is an awesome way to make coins. Buy low and sell high. Scrolls and stars are great merchant items because many people don't know the real price of those items.

Training

This is the most common way to earn money. You first look up monsters that are around your level and that drop good scrolls/ equips or lots of money. You train on that monster till you get drops. Always keep an empty space in your inventory to avoid being looted by others.

MapleStory Jobs

The basic description of all the classes in MapleStory.

Here is the lowdown on MapleStory jobs

Thieves:

The "pimpest" of all the classes, and decent damage (LOL) too. Personally sent by Satan, these homeys strive to be the stealthiest, most adaptable players in the game. buy maple story powerleveling

Bowmen:

Versatile and quick, these hombres use distance to their advantage in KSin' the mesos outta you.

They…wait a second! I don't really know what they do… I think they are only there because of Legolas…

Mages (or Magi):

As the most powerful of the four jobs, these gangstas take a lotta BS from people, but no worries, you can just rearrange their faces after you're done takin' down that Zakum to Chinatown. buy maple story powerleveling

Warriors:

The most dependable of the four classes, they use high HP to sidle alongside the enemy and bash him into something even a moll (mob queen) wouldn't associate herself with.

MapleStory – Game Currencies And Cash Shop Explained

Finding and spending in-game currency is an integral and hugely enjoyable part of any Massively Multiplayer Online RPG and MapleStory is no different in that it allows players to collect and spend the spoils of their toil (in MapleStory they’re known as Mesos) on a huge range of collectable items at any one of the game’s stores. But where many games are happy to leave it at that, MapleStory takes things one step further by using a unique means of charging real money at the Cash Shop, which is then converted into another type of currency called NEXON Cash. Here myriad unique items and gizmos are made available to customize your character in a totally unique manner. cheap maplestory mesos

Mesos

There are three ways to harvest Mesos in MapleStory: Drops from the monsters you kill, taking on one of the many in-game quests (either on your own or as part of a party of friends), and buying/trading items. The dropping rate in MapleStory is fairly random and there’s no way of getting around this - other than relying on your luck setting. Obviously if you’re really lucky you’ll be rewarded with more drops and opposite is true if your luck rating is low. It’s worth noting that by taking on and defeating different monsters you’ll improve the rate at which you stack up the Mesos. Getting involved in many of the game’s quests is a fun way to pass the time in MapleStory and a sure-fire way of racking up even more of those precious Mesos as well as gaining lots of experience to level up quicker. Buying/trading items is a worthwhile and profitable skill that every Mapler should take time to learn that, if done correctly, will make you rich pretty quickly. The golden rule is to buy cheap and sell high! It’s simple, really. cheap maplestory mesos

The Cash Shop – Spending NEXON Cash

MapleStory offers those players looking to stand out in the online crowd everything from the latest fashions in clothing, hair salon coupons to plastic surgery coupons and other appearance-altering items – all of which can be purchased from the Cash Shop. To do this, players need to click on the red ‘CASH SHOP’ button at the bottom of the screen to enter. Here you can recharge NEXON Cash through three, ultra-safe payment systems, those being: PayPal, Click&Buy and Paysafecard ,as well, using this button. If you run out of NEXON Cash, you can only purchase an item after recharging it. You can also check the amount of NEXON cash you have left in your account by clicking the green ‘Check Cash’ button, as well. Another neat feature of the Cash Shop is the ability to try before you buy. Double-click on the item you’d like to purchase to see your character try on the item at the top left corner – the perfect way to see if the item looks good or not! Most of the equipment you purchase is largely just decorative for your character. Put simply, these items go over whatever equipment you are currently wearing, masking your current equipment. You can also buy pets at the Cash Shop, and equipment for pets.

The process of buying new and desirable items from the Cash Shop couldn’t be easier. In a nutshell, all Maplers need to do is press the ‘Buy’ button which is located below the item image. When this is done a confirmation window pops up and you simply click ‘ok’ to confirm. Any items bought are instantly transferred to their cash item inventory. Now double-click on the cash item that you’ve just purchased in the Cash Item inventory, which will transfer the item to whichever inventory it belongs. Note: You can only begin to use the purchased cash items after transferring them to the item inventory in the game. cheap maplestory mesos

The latest MapleStory Europe Cash Shop update includes, for example, the hugely popular Red Hood, Lined Hip-Hop Pants, and Henesy’s Cosmetic Lens Coupon. The Red Cape fits snuggly over any costume currently adorning your character and doesn’t affect the Mapler’s level of protection. The lined, hip and happening Hip-Hop Pants are the latest in a long line of fashionable clothes available in the Cash Shop, and the cosmetic lenses are the ultimate fashion expression in choosing the colour of your character’s eyes.

If NEXON Cash is burning hole in your pocket, head over to the Cash Shop and transform your look into something that’ll make you stand out among your fellow Maplers. And remember, if you’re struggling to decide what to buy, why not check out what others are buying in the ‘Best Selling’ and ‘GM Favourites’ section of the Cash Shop to ensure that you fit in with the game’s top trend setters!

Here's an interesting bit of news that has gone largely unnoticed. Maple Story, a free 2D MMORPG by Wizet and published by Nexon, will be hitting the Nintendo DS. It looks like Nexon is actually collaborating with Nintendo on the project. If there is any MMORPG that could work with the DS, other than Pokemon, it's this. safe maple story mesos

For now, whether or not the game will be released outside of Korea is unknown. However, this announcement was at E3 so who knows? I might actually go back to playing it if it's on the DS... safe maple story mesos I quit after Wizet backstabbed its fans by deleting their beta characters after repeatedly denying it would happen. Still, it's a good game for beginners to the MMORPG genre. The learning curve is not very great at all and it's completely free to play. It's not a flash game, you'll have to download the file at their official website. safe maple story mesos

Maple Story Warrior Guide - A Warrior Guide For Choosing Your Maple Story Character

Warriors are melee fighters and they are unable to use range attack like other character classes in Maple Story. This means that they can only hit their target up close.

Warriors have the most health and defence in the game which enables them to be able to withstand taking hits from their enemies.

While Warriors can render a lot of damage per hit, they always have to be within short range to the enemies during attacking which can become plain and boring at times. buy maple story mesos

The Pros of using Warrior as your character class in Maple Story are as follows:

1. Warriors in Maple Story have the highest HP and Defence among all the Maple Story classes.

2. They have the choice of 5 different weapon types to choose from.

3. Warriors can choose between one-handed weapons and two-handed weapons. buy maple story mesos

4. They can receive nice skills such as Slast Blast which allow them to kill multiple enemies concurrently with a single strike.

And the Cons of using your Warrior character in Maple Story are as follows:

1. Being a Warrior means that you are unable to do range attacks from a distance to attack the monsters.

2. They have a low amount of MP in comparison to other character class such as a Magician. buy maple story mesos

3. Warriors' damages during attacks can be unstable at times as the damages that they caused can vary a lot.

4. They have low Accuracy and Avoidability when compared to other Maple Story characters.

The above helpful pointers serve as a warrior guide for you when choosing your Maple Story character.

Maple Story Bowman Guide - A Bowman Guide for Choosing Your Maple Story Character

The Bowman character class in Maple Story is a very fun class to play with. They can render damage upon their enemies from afar with their bows and crossbows. They are able to knock foes back with each attack while delivering powerful blows on them.

As a Bowman in Maple Story, you will receive powerful multi-fire attacks and you will be able to kill enemies without even being near to them. safe maple story powerleveling

The Pros of using a Bowman as your character class in Maple Story are as follows:

1. A Bowman can render high damage output to the enemies.

2. They can attack their enemies from a distance without having to go near to them.

3. A Bowman is a very uncommon class, and their Weapons and Armours are usually cheaper in most cases.

4. They possess knock back ability. safe maple story powerleveling

And the Cons of using your Bowman character in Maple Story are as follows:

1. A Bowman is guilty of inflicting unstable damages upon the enemies, until his job advancements.

2. They are unable to melee attack their enemies. safe maple story powerleveling

3. A Bowman takes a long time to level until their second and third class advancement in the game.

4. They do not have high HP or high MP levels as compared to the other character classes such as Warriors and Magicians in Maple Story.

If you hate fighting up-close with the enemies like what a Warrior character in Maple Story does, it can be quite exciting to be a Bowman, watching and inflicting damages upon your enemies from a distance!

MapleStory Guide and Tips - MapleStory Tips on Maple Island

When you first arrive on Maple Island as a MapleStory beginner, you can complete a series of quests as part of your new game.

MapleStory Guide and Tips - Leveling Guide For Beginner Maplers

After you have chosen your preferred character class when you are starting out to play Maple Story, you are now ready to start leveling your character. And your new Maple Story character is now off to Maple Island as a Beginner.

On Maple Island, you will start off as a beginner class and level your way up to level 10 where you can then advance to the class that you actually want to be.

There are several key strategies that you want to focus on while you are on Maple Island which will help you to become an all-around Mapler in the game. They are:

1. Stats:

You need to start building your stats towards your character class (e.g. warrior, magician etc) that you are planning to become once you leave Maple Island.

2. Quest:

If this is your first Maple Story character, then you need to complete the quests on Maple Island to get a feel of how the game works and how to play properly.

3. Collect:

You want to start to collect items such as Blue Snail Shells and Mushrooms so that you can earn some Mesos for yourself to purchase a cab ride to leave Maple Island. maple story powerleveling

This is the default setup for playing MapleStory although you can change it at any time by hitting the Key config shortcut button on your screen. Once you have completed your keyboard setup, you will then have to talk to Sera. She will ask you if you would like to enter the Tutorial Zone. If this is your first time playiny, please do so. If you are a Maple Story veteran, it is always fun to see your character being dressed up in a ridiculous leaf costume or whatever kind of costume he is in. maple story powerleveling

Once you have finished with the bazaar tutorial, you will be transported to Maple Island.

On Maple Island, you will want to complete some quests and level up your character to level 10.

If you look at the map, all you have to do is to walk from the left to the right through the 5 zones and you will end up at a location called Perry where you can then take a ship off Maple Island. maple story powerleveling

Before you leave Maple Island, you will want to familiarize yourself with the controls of the game and complete a few quests that will help you reach level 10. This will prepare you to take on challenges on Victoria Island!

How To Play Maple Story - A Beginner's Guide

When you are starting to play Maple Story, you do not start off as any particular character class as a Maple Story player.

Instead, you will initially start off as a beginner when you play the game. cheap maple story powerleveling

Nevertheless, before you even create your Maple Story character at the start of your game, you will want to know which character class you are going to be ahead of time.

At the character creation phase when you create your character, you will be able to roll a pair of dice that will randomly generate your statistics for your character.

It is very important to know which character class you are planning to become in Maple Story so that you can receive the statistics layout that will work best for you and your character class. cheap maple story powerleveling

There are 4 main Statistics for your reference:

STR (Strength) - Determines Melee Attack Power

DEX (Dexterity) - Determines Accuracy and Avoidability, Bowman's Attack Power

INT (Intelligence) - Determines Spell Accuracy & Magician Attack Power

LUK (Luck) - Determines Avoidability & Thief's Attack Power

Currently, Maple Story has several classes of characters:

Warriors are melee fighters. They do not use range like other classes and can only hit their target up close.

Magicians are the Magic powers of Maple Story. They are not able to melee but they can weld damage by the use of their powerful spells and insane power that they posses at high levels. cheap maple story powerleveling

The Bowman class is a very fun class to play. They do damage from afar with their bows and crossbows.

A thief is a very under estimated class. You may not think so but a powerful thief is able to do an insane amount of damage as they get higher levels.

Think of what character class you wish to become in Maple Story, and generate the required statistics for your character in order to maximise your character's power!

Maple Story Thief Guide - A Thief Guide for Choosing Your Maple Story Character

A thief is a very under-estimated character class in Maple Story.

Not many people really know how to play a thief character when playing Maple Story for the first time.

You may not think so but a powerful thief is able to do an insane amount of damages as they progress through higher levels in the game.

Thieves can be very fun to play with once you get very good at them. buy maple story powerleveling

As a thief, you will have the choice to either use range attack or use melee attack on your enemies.

Either way, a thief is a very fun character class to play with but it will take you some time to master your thief character well.

The Pros of using a Thief as your character class in Maple Story are as follows: buy maple story powerleveling

1. A Thief can execute extremely fast attacks.

2. They can use range or melee attack, making them quite versatile when it comes to attacking their enemies.

3. Thieves have the ability to execute jump attacks. buy maple story powerleveling

4. They possess high accuracy and avoidability.

And the Cons of using your Thief character in Maple Story are as follows:

1. A Thief has low HP and Defence level.

2. Dagger thieves will take a while to level their characters.

3. Assassins will cost a lot of mesos to operate.

4. Thieves are very abundant.

If you are tired of playing with the other Maple Story characters such as Warriors, you may want to have a change of character class and try your hand at being a thief!

The Magicians Guide to Perfection

1. Introduction

Greetings, This Guide will Most likely be a lot like the rest of the Magician Guides on this forum, but the difference between those and mine are... mine have a simple design and proper grammar. Hopefully this will make it a lot easier for the newer people who don't understand a lot of the skills and or just the bad grammar in most of the guides.

First off Magicians are mainly Intelligence based, with a few luck thrown in for equipment. the basic point of the magician is to stay away from monsters and finding vantage points to attack from without being hurt in the process. Because the magician has such a huge Mana pool and such a small Health pool you will have to carry a bit of HP potions and MP potions in emergancies at all times until you become a Cleric!

Now most of you reading this will probably be a little confused at first by the lack of Stat or skill points in the guide. This is because I have another spot to talk about these. So use the stat and skill guides as reference as you use the main guide(if this don't make sense PM me or leave a message saying so, and i'll attempt to make it more clear).

With all that out of the way lets get down to business! maplestory mesos

2. Stat Guide

Stat Guide for the magician is extremely simple. For the whole time you're playing you will be putting everything into Intelligence for the most part, except you need to have a certain amount of Luck to wear the armor and weapons made for the magician. easy way to do this is when you first begin make your luck 3 points higher then your level then once you do that just add 4 to intelligence and 1 to luck the whole time you play. All done. Easy right?

3. Skill Guide

Skill points, now these can be tricky if you don't know what your doing.First off once you reach level 8 put one into Energy Bolt(You will never add anymore points into energybolt, remember that). Now for level 9 you will receive 3 skill points for every level for now on. put your first 5 skill points into "Improving MP Recovery". Only add 5 for now. Once you get 5 into MP recovery add all your skill points into "Improving Max MP Increase" the most you're able to add is 10. Now once you have done all that Add 10 Points to "Magic Claw" and only 10 for now. After you get 10 points into claw Max out MP recovery which is 16. After you max out That skill you have 2 choices. Choice number 1: Save up 10 skill points and then add them to Magic Claw all at once. Choice number 2: Add the skill points as you level up to Magic Claw. I choose Choice 1 because once you go from level 10 magic claw to level 11 the MP requirement to Cast is doubled from 10mp to 20mp. The choice is yours! maplestory mesos

4. Walkthrough

Starting out stats should be as follows:

Strength: 4 (5 is alright)

Dexterity: 4(5 is alright also)

Intelligence: Any

Luck: Any

Alright those are the stats you need to become a magician, if you give up and decide not to get 4 or 5 str/dex then you will be screwed later on. Trust me. Now notice the 'Any' next to intelligence and luck. Simply, it means don't worry about these starting stats at the moment because as long as you roll 4 str. and 4 dex.(or 5/5) then your golden! maplestory mesos

Now once you find a name and make your character and all that just ignore the NPC's and run straight to the monsters. Once you get to the first map with snails etc. go about 2 or 3 maps to the right and just keep attacking the green/blue snails(If you find that there is a lack of snails and a majority of people try changing servers until you find one that you like). Ignore the red snails and the orange mushrooms for now.

Once you become around level 4 or 5 go to the NPC with "click me" abover her name and do the quest she provides. Now back to killing snails! Once you reach level 8 take the boat to victoria island! Once you reach the island go to Ellinia(use taxi service which is next to the boat). This is where you'll become a magician! Great, now go find the guy at the top of the city to become a Magician.

Once you become a Migican use the taxi to head on down to Henesys which is the bowman town (IMPORTANT: Make sure you have atleast 1,000 Meso on you because once you become a magician you will have to pay a lot more to use the taxi!). Now once you reach this city go all the way to the left until you reach the portal to the next map. This map is where you'll be spending most of your time untill level 18 or so. Start off killing the snails on the very bottom and if you can get a group to hunt with.

Now once you reach level 11-13 you can attempt to take on the green slimes. Leveling will be extremely slow until you reach level 18, but don't worry the hell your in right now wont last much longer. Once you become level 15 you can try to kill orange mushrooms with Magic Claw. you'll be killing these orange mushrooms till your level 18 so get used to them.

Once you reach level 18 you have a choice, Continue to stay here killing the Orange mushrooms for acouple more levels or try something a lot harder but a lot faster. My choice is to try the harder but more rewarding way!

Take the taxi to Ellinia and grab whatever Weapon or Armor you need then head down to the potion shop. Buy at least 20-30 HP Potions and 20-30 MP Potions. these will come in handy when you are in trouble or stuck.

Now drop all the to the bottom of the city map then go to the map on the left. Once you get to the map fall down to the bottom of this map and then go left through the portal. Next map just go straight left to the next map through the portal also. Now see the door right below where you just entered with the "Danger!" sign? thats where we're going so be prepared to fight some Spikey Mushrooms! Once you enter this place be very careful because they can hit extremely hard for the amount of HP we have. Use the platforms to your advantage and stay clear of the mushrooms at all costs. You should be able to get the hang of hunting here rather quickly so have fun. Stay in this place until level 30 unless you find another place which is better.

Well congratulations you're now level 30. Now what to do? Become a Cleric of course! Head back to Ellinnia. Go back up to where you first became a Magician and talk to the NPC now do everything he says and meet the intructor and Collect the 30 dark crystals and become a Cleric!

Maple Story Magician Guide - A Magician Guide For Choosing Your Maple Story Character

Magicians are the Magic Powers of Maple Story. They are also one of the most fascinating character class inside the Maple Story game, which makes them one of the most popular character class among Maplers. safe maple story mesos

Magicians are unable to melee (attack at close range) but they can render huge damage by the use of their powerful spells and insane power that they possess at high levels.

Magicians are able to do a monstrous amount of damage to multiple enemies when they are at high levels during the Maple Story game play.

The Pros of using Magicians as your character class in Maple Story are as follows:

1. Magicians in Maple Story can render high damage during the 1st class job advancement.

2. They can cast multiple attack spells such as Magic Claw.

3. Magicians have high amounts of MP when compared to other character classes such as a Warrior.

4. They can use Magic Guard as a form of defence to take damage from enemies. safe maple story mesos

And the Cons of using your Magician character in Maple Story are as follows:

1. Magicians have low Health and Defence statistics if you compare them to other Maple Story characters.

2. They are not able to melee, meaning they cannot attack at close range to the enemies.

3. Magic Guard takes up a lot of Mana when Magicians are using them. safe maple story mesos

4. It can be very hard for Magicians to master certain types of attacks.

MapleStory Player Tips

The best way of gaining experience at the start of Maple Island is by fighting the Shrooms and the Orange Mushrooms, while In Victoria Island, the Slimes and the Stumps.

In improving your accuracy in hitting your enemies, you should raise your DEX if you are a warrior, bowman or a thief. Increase your INT and LUK if you are a magician. maple story mesos

When you are low on Hit Points, find a safe place where you can “rest” and restore your health back by being stationary for a few seconds. In this way, you can avoid losing 10% of your experience points should you “die” due to loss of HP. But you are exempted from this if you are still a beginner.

Each time you move up a level, you will receive 5 Ability Points. You can use these to increase your HP, MP, STR, DEX, INT or LUK. It is suggested, however, that you use your Ability Points only for your STR, DEX, INT or LUK since your HP and MP increases automatically as you level up.

Monsters may drop a common item like a snail shell or it may also drop a rare item like an axe. Some even drop two different kinds of ores – a jewel and a mineral ore. (IMAGE: MISCELLANEOUS>"ORES")

Pick up and store a lot of ores which you may find in the game. These are extremely rare and are needed in upgrading your armor and weapons.

You can check if you are successful in picking up an item or killing an enemy for experience points by looking at the confirmation status found at the bottom right of the screen. maple story mesos

To acquire armor and weapons, there is a requirement of every 5 consecutive levels.

You should not be afraid to undertake quests. They were designed to make the game more fun and exciting. It is through these quests that you can also gain experiences, equipment, items and mesos. Some of the quests are easy for beginners, while others require a significant amount of levels and playing time that come along for the task. Most quests have a requirement of every 5 consecutive levels, which is based in their degree of difficulty.

Power and speed are vital in fighting monsters. Try and see if you can determine the effectiveness of using a particular weapon compared to the others by their intrinsic characteristics. An axe has an Attack Power of 27 but is a “slow” weapon, while a Saber may have a much lesser Attack Power of 20 but is 2 and ½ times faster. The damage inflicted and hits caused will roughly work out the same over time.

The bowmen, magicians and thieves are capable of long range attacks, but need to keep up with their arrows, throwing stars, and MP’s, respectively. Warriors, on the other hand, rely mostly on close range attacks. But since they have large HP and attacking levels, they have the capability to fight stronger monsters. maple story mesos

Should you feel that the place you are in is too crowded, you can always switch to a different channel and still remain in the same place.

Cleric Guide

[o] Starting Off (For all Magicians)

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

When you are creating your character, you will need to "throw" the dice in order to generate your stats. As a cleric (or wizard), you will want to "throw" as shown:

  • STR: 4
  • DEX: 4
  • INT: ##
  • LUK: ##

The important part is getting the "4" into STR and DEX. As a cleric (or wizard), INT is what gives us our power~ if you find it hard to get "4's" in STR and DEX, it won't kill you to settle for a "5" in one or the other ("4's" are still preferred). If you really want, the more INT a magician has, a little bit more MP is earned per level up (although very slight), meaning you can aim for 10~12 INT when "throwing" the dice.

Another side-note: with STR at "4", once you enter the game with your level 1 character, you will notice that you will be doing 1~3 damage. You will be struggling very early on with your low melee damage... Those killer snails (*tip* stay on Maple Island and kill the green snails until you reach level 8; not the blue and red snails).

Once you reach level 8, head over to Victoria Island (if you haven't, yet) and talk to the man in the ticketing booth (his name is Phil) below the ship and buy yourself a ride to Ellinia. *Warning* Do not take the black V.I.P. taxi if this is your first time playing Maple Story. Talk to "Hines" (Old Man Grendel) who is at the very top building in Ellinia and become a Magician~ yay! *tip* make sure you have at least 20 INT, although you should have more then 20int at level 8. buy maple story mesos

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

[x] Ability Points (For all Magicians)

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

Everytime you level up, you receive 5 AP (ability points). You have a choice of distributing your points into the following:

MP STR DEX INT LUK

A magician's main focus centers in on INT and LUK. Ignore the rest. What you want to do is have your LUK 3pts above your current level. The rest of the ability points goes into INT. Let me rephrase this.

LUK = 3 points above your current level.

INT = you're remaining ability points.

Example:

-Level 8-

STR - 4

DEX - 4

INT - 41

LUK - 11

-Level 30-

STR - 4

DEX - 4

INT - 151

LUK - 33

Why do we need LUK 3 points above our level? The reason is most equipment have minimum requirements that require LUK 3 points above your current level. Basically, have enough LUK to wear your equipment of choice. There are "lukless" cleric builds - however that is not covered in this guide.

[o] 1st Job Skills (For all Magicians)

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
- Improving MP Recovery (Max Level = 16) -
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

*With this, you'll recover even more MP every 10 sec.

The Formula to detemine your MP recovery rate is as follows: [Character Level x (Skill Level / 10) ]+3 = MP Recovery Rate (rounded down).

  • Definitely Max this skill

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
- Improving Max MP Increase (Max Level = 10) -
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

*While having a Level UP, if AP is used on Max MP, it raises the level of increase for Max MP.

This is a very important passive skill for all magicians. Everytime a character levels up, they receive a small MP boost. However, for magicians, they are able to gain even more max MP capacity with points into this skill. The more MP, the better for a magician~

  • Max this ASAP (as soon as possible)

*tip* do not put any ability points into HP or MP. Put them into INT and LUK only.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
-Magic Guard ( Max Level = 20 ) -
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

*Temporarily replaces damage with MP instead of HP. If MP reaches 0, the HP takes a full hit.

Normally, if you receive damage, your HP declines. With Magic Guard, however, a certain percentage of the damage received is taken away from your MP. As a result, your HP will decline slower. For example, at max level, 80% of the damage received will be drained from MP. When hit with 100 dmg, MP will decrease by 80 and HP will decrease by 20. buy maple story mesos

The debate usually is: "Should I get Magic Guard or Magic Armor"

The answer is: Get Magic Guard

  • Magic Guard will prevent 1-hit death
  • Magic Armor doesn't reduce alot of damage taken from a monster

*tip* (for clerics only) if one hit from a monster has the potential to kill you - activate magic guard. (for wizards only) get in the habit of activating magic guard before it runs out; have magic guard on at all times.

  • Max this skill. I would max this skill last.

- Magic Armor ( Max Level = 20 ) -

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
*Temporarily boosts the weapon defense by blowing magic into the armor.
When you activate this skill, your weapon defense raises; you receive less damage. The bad thing about this skill is that it is not percentage based. What does this mean? The more you level up, the more meaningless this skill becomes. When maxed, you receive 40 more points to your weapon defense. This does not mean the following: if you get hit by a monster who normally does 100 dmg, you now receive 60 dmg only. This is false. False. Not true. The damage received is not decreased by alot.
  • Do not put any points into this skill. It is overshadowed later on by a skill called "Invincible". Besides, Magic Guard would be a better choice then Magic Armor.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

- Energy Bolt ( Max Level = 20 ) -

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
*Use MP to attack one enemy.
This is one of the two offensive attacks that are given at the first job. After much testing: put in only one point into this skill. It is true that Energy Bolt has a higher base attack and costs less MP - however here are the reasons why you should only put in only one point into this skill:
  • Energy Bolt cannot fire through obstacles; Magic Claw is able to hit monsters through obstacles.
  • The firing rate of Energy Bolt is too slow: as a cleric, we are weaker then other classes in terms of "damage". Therefore having a faster attack would be more useful to compensate our low damage.
  • The MP for each attack (Energy Bolt and Magic Claw) isn't enough to make a huge dent in your MP later on; don't max this skill because "it is more mana efficient".
  • Only one point into this skill. Once you become a magician at level 8, your very first point should go into Energy Bolt. After that, no more points into Energy Bolt. If you do plan on maxing Energy Bolt, then zero or one points into Magic Claw.
- Magic Claw ( Max Level = 20 ) -
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

*Use Mp to attack an enemy twice.

When you attack a monster, Magic Claw swipes at the monster twice. This skill can attack monsters through terrain and can be cast much faster then Energy Bolt. At max levels, Energy Bolt has a base damage of 55, while Magic Claw has base damage of two 40 attacks. This does not mean Magic Claw is one attack of base 80. That is false. Magic Claw is two seperate base 40 attacks.

*this build is for those who wish to level faster than normal - and are rich enough to fund themselves. This build consumes mp at a fast rate. At level 17, you may keep magic claw at level 10 until you have saved 10 SP points. The downside is that your claw does less damage, while the positive side is that you will save mp (hence mesos).

At level 8, in order to make "the most perfect cleric" you may skip energy bolt. Your first point would be put into Improving MP recovery and then following any path you wish mentioned above. The HUGE downside is that you will not have any magic attacking skill until a few more levels - you will be wacking at snails for abit longer. The upside is that you gain abit more MP. If you believe that this is worth the time - go for it. If you do not think that this is worth the time - put your first skill point into energy bolt.

[o] 2nd Job Skill (For Clerics Only)

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
- MP Eater ( Max Level = 20 ) -
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Soak up an enemy's MP after every magic attack. But if its MP reaches 0, no more.

When you attack a monster, there is a chance that you will receive MP back - meaning there is a chance to reduce the MP cost of an attack.

This skill allows your MP to drain slower. This is especially useful when you are killing mobs with Heal and / or Shining Ray.

  • This skill is a good skill to max, but not a must. Reduces your MP pot useage, also... meaning more mesos saved~!
  • If you plan on partying alot in the future - you do not need this skill maxed. When you heal party members - you do not soak back MP. Therefore, MP eater would be useless when in a party; if you plan on healing/blessing/casting other cleric skills to your party members. buy maple story mesos

*Recovers the HP of all party members around the area.

This is the skill clerics will be using the most. You can heal yourself, your party-member, and attack undead monster. Heal allows you to target up to 6 targets (including yourself). This is the only skill from your 1st and 2nd job that enables the user to attack multiple monsters / party-members; you can also use this skill in mid-air.

*Temporarily decreases the weapon damage received. Doesn't decrease the spell damage, however.

This skill reduces the physical damage received. A much better skill then Magic Armor because this skill is percentage based, instead of being a constant numerical boost. The less damage you receive, the more you can focus on attacking / heal attack.

- Teleport (Max Level = 20) -

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
*Use the arrow keys to teleport to other places in the same map on a set distance. The higher the skill level, the less MP you spend.
Teleport can be used for fun, for avoiding monsters, or quicker access to places on the map. Having Max teleport saves alot of your MP. From experience, this skill is very useful when it is maxed.
*Tip* With Max Teleport, you will be able to go up and down the Monkey Forest 1, Tree Dungeon at a much faster rate. The faster you reach the Zombie Lupin Spawns, the faster you gain experience.
  • Definitely max this skill. Some people will argue that this skill only needs 1 point, however from experience, this skill is very useful at max. Less MP cost per use. And a side-note: Teleport is faster then maxed Haste.
  • The faster you are able to reach your party members - the better and safer for your party.
  • You should definitely learn to use teleport while training or while in a party. Later on, some of your skills take a moment to cast - and teleporting away from danger is a good tactic.
- Bless (Max Level = 20) -
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

*Temporarily increases the weapon def., magic def., accuracy and avoidability of all party members around the area. BUT, it can't be used if combined with a skill or a potion.

Just like Magic Armor, this skill is numerically based. At least 1 point in this skill will negate the minus weapon defense from "Rage" (fighter's skill). This is a decent party skill. However it is not an amazing skill. The additional boost into the weapon defense, magic defense, accuracy and avoidability is not normally needed, although other class may appreciate it. This skill benefits the warrior and thief class the most. The weapon, magic defense received is reduced only slightly - very minimal.

*Tip* This skill helps alot when you're party is attacking a group of monsters that are higher levels then your party. For example, if a Fighter normally "MISS" on a monster, this skill may help reduce that.

[pros] good party skill

[cons] numerical based; you do not need every boost that this skill provides.

  • You may or may not max this skill, depending on the path you choose.
  • There are many low dex characters that will LOVE Bless. The best duo, supposedly, is the cleric + spearmen. A spearmen with low dex will definitely welcome bless.
  • Your party members will welcome any skills that help them - this is a good party skill.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
- Holy Arrow (Max Level = 30) -
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

*Fires holy arrows at an enemy. Applies major damage to the undeads and devil-based monsters.

Holy Arrow does additional damage when fired against an undead / dark monster. The plus side to this skill is the fact that you will be able to knock-back monsters that Magic Claw cannot. The additional 150% against undead / dark monster is useful, too. However, the negative side to this skill is that it is much more slower then Magic Claw, only targets one monster at a time, and Shining Ray from the 3rd Job easily overshadows this skill. Basically, for training purposes, this skill is not useful. Training at zombie lupins, wraiths, zombies, etc. is much faster and your Heal will target up to 5 monsters at a time. However, for hunting purposes, this skill can be of use.

  • You may or may not max this skill, depending on the path you choose.
  • Note that JMS and KMS have received a boost in damage.

[x] The Path of the Cleric

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

Here are the three basic path for a cleric. The path you choose is entirely up to you. You may even use your own path. This is a guide, not a law - the final decision is yours. So feel free to plug in you're skill points anyway you like.

*Note* These ideas were based on research from a Korean Forum, my experience (my own thoughts) and debates with friends. If any of these paths match another cleric guide's recommendation, it is pure coinicidence.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
- Cleric Path #1 -
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

*This is one of the two path I would recommend, especially for early levels. This path is probably the most safest path to follow. This is the build i recommend the most. This path will have have all skills maxed, except for Holy Arrow (11 points). The basic path is as follows: Max Heal, Max MP Eater, Max Teleport, Max Invincible, Max Bless, 11 points into Holy Arrow (or any other skill i.e. Magic Armor).

Level 30: Heal 01

Level 31: Heal 04

Level 32: Heal 07

Level 33: Heal 10

Level 34: Heal 13

Level 35: Heal 16

Level 36: Heal 19

Level 37: Heal 22

Level 38: Heal 25

Level 39: Heal 28

Level 40: Heal 30 / MP Eater 01 (Heal is Maxed)

Level 41: Heal 30 / MP Eater 04

Level 42: Heal 30 / MP Eater 07

Level 43: Heal 30 / MP Eater 10

Level 44: Heal 30 / MP Eater 13

Level 45: Heal 30 / MP Eater 16

Level 46: Heal 30 / MP Eater 19

Level 47: Heal 30 / MP Eater 20 / Teleport 02 (MP Eater is Maxed)

Level 48: Heal 30 / MP Eater 20 / Teleport 05

Level 49: Heal 30 / MP Eater 20 / Teleport 08

Level 50: Heal 30 / MP Eater 20 / Teleport 11

Level 51: Heal 30 / MP Eater 20 / Teleport 14

Level 52: Heal 30 / MP Eater 20 / Teleport 17

Level 53: Heal 30 / MP Eater 20 / Teleport 20 (Teleport is Maxed)

Level 54: Heal 30 / MP Eater 20 / Teleport 20 / Invincible 03

Level 55: Heal 30 / MP Eater 20 / Teleport 20 / Invincible 05 / Bless 01

Level 56: Heal 30 / MP Eater 20 / Teleport 20 / Invincible 08 / Bless 01

Level 57: Heal 30 / MP Eater 20 / Teleport 20 / Invincible 11 / Bless 01

Level 58: Heal 30 / MP Eater 20 / Teleport 20 / Invincible 14 / Bless 01

Level 59: Heal 30 / MP Eater 20 / Teleport 20 / Invincible 17 / Bless 01

Level 60: Heal 30 / MP Eater 20 / Teleport 20 / Invincible 20 / Bless 01 (Invincible is Maxed)

Level 61: Heal 30 / MP Eater 20 / Teleport 20 / Invincible 20 / Bless 04

Level 62: Heal 30 / MP Eater 20 / Teleport 20 / Invincible 20 / Bless 07

Level 63: Heal 30 / MP Eater 20 / Teleport 20 / Invincible 20 / Bless 10

Level 64: Heal 30 / MP Eater 20 / Teleport 20 / Invincible 20 / Bless 13

Level 65: Heal 30 / MP Eater 20 / Teleport 20 / Invincible 20 / Bless 16

Level 66: Heal 30 / MP Eater 20 / Teleport 20 / Invincible 20 / Bless 19

Level 67: Heal 30 / MP Eater 20 / Teleport 20 / Invincible 20 / Bless 20 / Holy Arrow 02 (Bless is Maxed)

Level 68: Heal 30 / MP Eater 20 / Teleport 20 / Invincible 20 / Bless 20 / Holy Arrow 05

Level 69: Heal 30 / MP Eater 20 / Teleport 20 / Invincible 20 / Bless 20 / Holy Arrow 08

Level 70: Heal 30 / MP Eater 20 / Teleport 20 / Invincible 20 / Bless 20 / Holy Arrow 11

*Explanation*

  • This build focuses on hard-core training. This is the reason why I wouldn't recommend putting 1 point into MP Eater / Teleport during the first nine levels, although you may.
  • Why 1 point into Bless, after 5 points into Invincible? If you like to party, and a Fighter activates "Rage", you will be able to negate the negative weapon defense with that 1 point Bless. This is not needed. You can max out Invincible right away, and put the point into Bless later.
  • Why Invincible first, and not Bless? I only maxed Invincible first in this guide, HOWEVER you can max Bless first and Invincible Later. Just remember that you do need at least 5 points into Invincible before being able to put a point into Bless. Again, I repeat. If you love to party, and want to max Bless first, before maxing Invincible - Go For It!
  • 11 points into Holy Arrow is very useless. So, instead of 11 points into Holy Arrow, you may want to invest in some other skill. For example, 11 points into Magic Armor (10 points would be meaningless because of maxed bless. 11 points into magic armor would give you +2 more def over maxed Bless. So if you want the extra +2 def. put 11 pts into Magic Armor). Or you can use these spare points to fix an earlier mistake.

*Training Areas*

These are the areas I would recommend. You may advance to the next spot earlier or later - depending on you. If you wish to gain experience faster, don't loot - looting actually slows you down (until we get a Pet). At the Monkey Forest 1: Tree Dungeon - you will be able to gain meso from the good drops. If you want, you may even find a "looter" to party with you (max level at 34 if you wish to gain 100% experience from the Zombie Lupins). If you don't care about gaining experience fast, or really need mesos, collecting the dolls and selling them is recommended. At B3 i recommend looting. This is where you should make your meso. You will be able to loot and kill for fast experience without a problem. At Zombies, you may or may not loot - your choice.

  • From level 30 to 40: I would recommend Ant Tunnel 1, Ant Tunnel 4, Wild Boars (early 30's), Fire Boars (hunt for Glass Shoe and make some mesos) or any other area that you can kill the monsters with 1 or 2 hits. At level 30, you may even want to PQ one last level. If you happen to be at ossyria, you may try the jr. cellion, jr. lioner, or jr. grupin. You may even wish to level in the tower, also. Just look for monster that you can kill relatively fast and easily while gaining good experience. B2 is a solid spot from level 37ish to level 41ish.
  • From level 41 to 46: I would recommend Monkey Forest 1: Tree Dungeon. The Zombie Lupins will be hard at first, but you will notice a lot less "MISS" as you level up. If you feel like you are losing too much mesos from MP pots, or that the Zombie Lupins are still too hard - you may train at the areas recommended for level 30 to 40.
  • From level 47 to 53: I would recommend B3. Learn to jump B3, because you may be spending some time here. This place is excellent for meso-making. If you find that you cannot jump B3, or always find it to be occupied, or just love those zombie lupins - you may train at the Monkey Forest: Tree Dungeon.
  • From level 54 to 70: I would recommend Monkey Forest 1: Tree Dungeon, again. Why? At this point, you will have maxed teleport and you should be able to teleport up and down the tree easily. Make sure you learn the fastest path up and down the tree in order to maximize your experience gained. If you wish to make more money, and love B3 - stay at B3. You may also move on to zombies around level 60 and up.
  • From level 60 to 70: I would recommend Zombies in Ossyria. If you wish to stay at the tree or B3 - that is totally fine.

- Cleric Path #2 -

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
*This path is for those who wish to max Holy Arrow and not have maxed Bless. The basic path is as follows: Max Heal, Max Holy Arrow, Max Invincible, Max Teleport, Max MP Eater, 1 point into Bless. I personally do not recommend this path.
Level 70: Heal 30 / MP Eater 20 / Teleport 20 / Holy Arrow 30 / Invincible 20 / Bless 01 (MP Eater is Maxed)
*Explanation*
  • This build focuses on the ability to hunt other monsters. Magic Claw can still kill the same monsters, but Holy Arrow offers 150% more damage to dark monsters and the ability to knock-back non-dark monsters. Holy Arrow only enables you to kill the monster abit more easily. Malady, Balrog, Dark Yeti, etc. Remember, Magic Claw can kill these same monsters, too.
  • The 10 points into MP Eater early on is to help with your meso-fund. I recommend 10 points (more or less) because you will still be hunting Zombie Lupins early on. Maxing Holy Arrow right after maxing Heal will not help you alot, because the monsters you will want to hunt are still too strong for you. You will need about 3 to 4 more levels in order to start killing these monsters (dark stone golems). Therefore, stall 3 to 4 levels by putting your points into MP Eater. Then max Holy Arrow right away.
  • I recommend maxing Invincible first, Teleport after. You will be hunting monsters that do alot of phyical damage to you and Invincible would help alot here. I do recommend putting that 1 point into Teleport - it helps, then max Teleport after maxing Invincible.
  • Why 1 point into Bless, after 5 points into Invincible? If you like to party, and a Fighter activates "Rage", you will be able to negate the negative weapon defense with that 1 point Bless. This is not needed. You can max out Invincible right away, and put the point into Bless later.
  • Why max MP Eater last? The 10 points put into MP Eater will help you save money early on. After that, you will probably be training at Dark Stone Golems or other monsters with Holy Arrow. Since Holy Arrow targets 1 monster at a time, you shouldn't be losing too much MP compared to spamming Heal against Zombie Lupins, B3, etc.
- Cleric Path #3 -
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

*This path is for those who wish to not max MP Eater. Good build for those who like to party alot. This is one of the two path I recommend. This path is extremely expensive for a long time (due to the lack of MP Eater). Please note that this build is good for those who also like to use holy arrow (i, personally, do not recommend holy arrow, however.) The basic path is as follows: Max Heal, Max Teleport, Max Holy Arrow, Max Invincible, Max Bless.

Level 65: Heal 30 / 01 MP Eater / 20 Teleport / Holy Arrow 30 / Invincible 20 / Bless 05

Level 66: Heal 30 / 01 MP Eater / 20 Teleport / Holy Arrow 30 / Invincible 20 / Bless 08

Level 67: Heal 30 / 01 MP Eater / 20 Teleport / Holy Arrow 30 / Invincible 20 / Bless 11

Level 68: Heal 30 / 01 MP Eater / 20 Teleport / Holy Arrow 30 / Invincible 20 / Bless 14

Level 69: Heal 30 / 01 MP Eater / 20 Teleport / Holy Arrow 30 / Invincible 20 / Bless 17

Level 70: Heal 30 / 01 MP Eater / 20 Teleport / Holy Arrow 30 / Invincible 20 / Bless 20 (Bless is Maxed)

*Explanation*

  • This build focuses on hunting at various places without sacrificing our party skill ability (Bless). This build is the most costly out of the 3 in terms of meso - due to the lack of MP Eater. However, with this build, you are depending on drops, looting, Holy Arrow to prevent fast MP loss (resulting in more MP pot useage - meso loss).
  • Maxing Teleport first is very useful for a couple of reasons: 1) only 13 MP is drained per teleport (when maxed) and 2) You can move up and down the Monkey Forest 1: Tree Dungeon alot faster.
  • MP Eater at level 1 is important to have early on. It is alot better then MP Eater at level 0.
  • This build is excellent to go partying around with. Why? With MP Eater at maxed or not, you do not gain MP by healing your party members. So having MP eater at level 20 or at level 1 does not matter. To make this build even better for partying, you may want to max Bless as soon as possible. How? After Maxing teleport, put in the next 5 points into Invincible. After that you should be starting to max Bless at level 49. Once you have maxed Bless, you may either max Invincible or Holy Arrow - your choice.

[o] Unwritten Laws for the Clerics (B3 Courtesy Rule)

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

There is an un-written law for B3, called the B3 Courtesy Rule. This is to prevent fustration and KSing. I wrote this so that any clerics who read this have a common ground and understanding. This was made to prevent any problems of "ksing" at B3 and to avoid such problems.

  • If the subway depot for B3 is clear, the first person to reach that area gets to train. Anyone who arrives after should either: 1) leave 2) ask for the time. If you asked for the time and you found the time to be worth waiting for, then do so. Wait at the top area where the Treasure Chest is. If the time is too long: get your ores, then change channels and test your luck again... or go train at the Monkey Forest 1: Tree Dungeon.
  • It is not worth sharing the train with another person. The spawn rate is very slow at B3. If you came for the vibe medicine, it is better to go onto the top platform and then ask for some. If that person says "no" just kindly say "bye" and try a different channel.
  • If there is a level 40 cleric training at B3, and you happen to be a level 70 cleric (who arrived after). Do not jump into the train and start killing the Wraith. Either wait, or leave. Just because you are a higher level does not allow you to kick someone out.
  • If someone is training at your favorite channel (for example channel 17). Do not KS that person, or ask that person to leave if that person was there first. If they were there first - let them finish training. No one owns a channel. You can change channels (it won't kill you) or wait. Do not expect people to know your "training schedule" either.
  • This is not a "Cleric only" map, either. If another class is there training or hunting, same rules apply. They have every right to be there as you do.
  • WOW! Never thought I had to post this. A DEAD CHARACTER CANNOT SAVE A SPOT IN A B3. If YOU go in and there's a dead character - you have ALL rights to claim it as yours. A friend of that DEAD CHARACTER cannot come in AFTER you and claim the train. A dead character cannot "defend" a map. If you go into a channel and a dead character tells you to leave, then you may discuss it. but if you decide not to and start training - you are ksing no one. that person lost his map through death. If a friend comes in, tough luck. That friend has to wait, change channels or start some pointless ks battle.
  • No one technically owns a map. We play this game and treat others with respect. You cannot "save" a map for someone - whether dead or alive. If you are waiting for a friend to come in and train after you leave, then your friend must be the next immediate person to train. If someone else beats your friend - that person has the rights to the train after you leave. Your friend can wait, change channels, or ks (and start a problem).

[x] Looting at Zombie Lupins

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

Here is a tip that applies to clerics only. If you enter a tree with Zombie Lupins and the people there are not picking up the dolls and meso. You may want to loot to make money. Here are a few tips:

  • Ask: some people loot on the way back, in which case they will not want you to loot. It won't hurt to ask (unless if they're rude).
  • When looting, Unequip your weapon. Why? If you unequip your weapon, you will still be able to heal yourself and you're party members. You will not, however, attack the Zombie Lupins. By not attacking the Zombie Lupins, you won't have bananas thrown at you, forcing you to kill the batch of Zombie Lupins around you. This will please the hard-core clerics who are training there. By not attacking - you won't "steal" experience from those who are training in the tree. So please unequip your weapons.
  • Do not pick up equipments. If you see an equipment drop and the person who killed it doesn't pick it up - let that person know. If (s)he doesn't want it - then ask if you can have it.
  • Less talk, more looting. Please do not bother those in training. They are there to train, not talk.
  • When done looting, say "thank you". If you want, you may offer some dolls or mesos.
  • Do not stalk the same person by whispering "can i come loot?" every 5 minutes. If you want to loot that same person, just track him / her and go to the tree if they happen to be there.

[o] Conclusion

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

Hopefully this guide will help all Clerics or soon-to-be Clerics. Remember, keep the game clean: no hacking, no botting, no scamming, no Auto-Clicking, no KSing~ ^^ Remember to have fun~

Feel free to leave comments (hopefully positive comments). If you see any mistakes, please let me know.

Remember: this is a guide. Not a law. You may build your cleric the way you like it. And these are my opinions. We may share different opinions - do not bashe me if we do. Thanks to those who have helped me make this a better guide~
