Trueno's Bowman Guide to killing things you aren't supposed to yet. v1

::Intro::

First off, let me introduce myself. My name is Tien, however, I go by various aliases in the MS world; such as, AE86Trueno (Trueno for short), CptPlanet, and LoveMachine. My main character is AE86Trueno, currently a level 63 FA Hunter. I've been a hunter since Beta MS, AE86Trueno was level 62 when beta shut down ;_;. I was there when oMS first opened its doors. Within a couple weeks I managed to level to 52 thanks to 2x exp. However the grind took its toll on me and I decided to "quit". (IIRC I was one of the top 10 bowmen when I quit.) Fortunately (or unfortunately), I began to get drawn back into the MS world due to their holidays events and the release of third jobs. Now here we are.

::Why I am writing this guide?::

Basically, I want to share my knowledge with those who are new to the bowmen class and those who wish to know why bowmen are so sexy.

::Why bowmen are so sexy?::

Besides the obvious (our mere appearance). Bowmen have the ability to kill high leveled monsters at such low levels that other classes had to acknowledge our sex appeal.

::How and where do I kill these high leveled monsters?::

Simple, you find a sniping spot where you are relatively safe and fire away but make sure that you are able to hit the monster to do more than 1 damage. These sniping spots are found all over, I am just going to show you where some of the best spots are. Most of these spots I found while bored or they are common knowledge among long-time bowmen.

::Sniping Spots::

(Here's how the format is going to work)

Level I started sniping:This is the level I first started to go on sniping adventures for the specific monster. Depending on your build and your stats you may or may not be able to hit these monsters accurately enough. So you should double-check your accuracy with the accuracy required to hit the monster on one of the other guides out there.

Location: The name of the map and I included a screenshot on where to stand to get the most hits while minimizing the risk of getting hit b/c frankly, if you get hit by one of these monsters at a level you can't efficiently train on yet, it will hurt you bad.

Probability of getting killed: Self-explanatory.

Tips: Here's where I will give you tips on how to reach the sniping spot, what monsters you have to clear out of the way, etc.

Victoria

Drakes

Level I started sniping: 40

Location: The Tunnel that Lost Light II

Probability of getting killed: Not very likely.

Tips: None really, just fire and watch out for respawn when collecting your loot.

Cargos

Level I started sniping: 45

Location:The Tunnel that Lost Light II

Probability of getting killed: Not very likely.

Tips: Just be sure to clear out any drakes and cold eyes around your perch and you'll be fine.

Taurospears/Tauromaci

Level I started sniping: 50

Location: Sanctuary Entrance III

Probability of getting killed: Not very likely.

Tips: Just be sure to not fall off the pillar or stand too close to the right edge of the pillar b/c the macis attack can reach there. So you're safe in the middle of the pillar. Also, keep an eye out on the left of the screen, cold eyes have been known to spawn and jump down and hit you while standing there.

Ossyria

Pangs/Transformed Yetis

Level I started sniping: 45

Location: Ice Valley I

Probability of getting killed: Somewhat likely, you're gonna need to bring along some extra potions

Tips: Here you will most likely have to clear away the far left platform in order to be able to snipe without taking damage. A trick I used was to just change channels until you find an empty left platform and the monster(s) you want to kill on the right side. Killing monsters on the middle is doable but you have to be careful of yeti's attack range.

Pangs/Transformed Yetis 2

Level I started sniping: 45

Location: Ice Valley I

Probability of getting killed: Somewhat likely, you're gonna need to bring along some extra potions

Tips: Follow the same as above; however, you have to keep an eye out on the platform above you b/c jr yetis and pangs like to jump down and knock you off the platform. Also, don't keep to close to the left edge since the yeti's atttack can still reach you there.

Yeti and Pepe

Level I started sniping: 60, b/c that's when I discovered the spot. But probably around 55 you can start hitting them.

Location:Ice Valley I

Probability of getting killed: Not likely.

Tips: The way to get up on the high platform is to just jump continuosly (if you dont have jump shoes) and the slope will push you up there if you get lucky.

Werewolves

Level I started sniping: 63

Location: Wolf Territory II

Probability of getting killed: Not likely.

Tips: At first glance you might be worried about getting attacked at this spot; however, the WW can't cross the tree-bridge, so you will be safe if you stand against the left wall and fire away.

Dark Yeti and Pepe

Level I started sniping: 63

Location: Dangerous Cliff

Probability of getting killed: There's a slight possibilty

Tips: Here you'll probably have to clear out some dark yetis and dark jr yetis to setup for this spot, so bring pots. When sniping dark YnP, keep a safe distance b/c their attacks hurt bad(a little bit behind the little hill is fine).

Bain

Level I started sniping: 60

Location: Cave of Trials III

Probability of getting killed: There's a slight possibilty b/c of getting there, but once you're on the platform you are pretty safe.

Tips: Bring pots b/c you'll probably run into some Bains head-on when trying to reach this spot and they hurt bad when you touch them. But once you reach this spot you will be safe to snipe bains all day (trust me it'll take you all day to bring down their HP).

::Conclusion::

Well there you have it, a list of my favorite sniping spots. So whenever you feel bored from the grind or want to celebrate a level up, take a break and go unwind by killing some really high-leveled monsters. You might get lucky and find a rare drop but don't expect it, being able to kill the monsters is satisfying enough.
